I recently took a trip around Europe for five weeks, and the first stop on my agenda was England. Well, of course I couldn't stop in England without visiting Liverpool and London. And I couldn't stop in those cities without photographing everything I could find that dealt with the Beatles and Paul. Here are most of the Paul-related sites I found, plus a few extra pictures thrown in for good measure!

Please note: this page is graphically heavy!

Forthlin Road, the road in Allerton on which Paul grew up.

Paul's childhood home at 20 Forthlin Road.

The door of Paul's childhood home. I got to go inside, but unfortunately, we weren't allowed to take any pictures.

The roundabout that was written about in "Penny Lane." However, the area is just off of Penny Lane, and is actually called Smithdown Road.

A Penny Lane road sign.

John Lennon's childhood home. Thought I'd throw that in here since John and Paul spent lots of time here practicing together. I also went inside here, but again, no pictures were allowed.

The Empire Theatre where all of the boys went to see American rock shows back in the day.

Eleanor Rigby's tombstone in the graveyard at St. Peter's Parish in Woolton. (It's worthy to note here that "In His Life: The John Lennon Story" lies. Eleanor Rigby is not on her own tombstone. As you can see, she's on one with her entire family. Boo, TV movie.)

St. Peter's church where John's Aunt Mimi was a member (she's buried in the graveyard along with the Rigbys). John and Paul also met at a church festival in the backyard of this parish, where, unfortunately, a daycare center now sits. Boo, modern development.

Mathew Street, where the Cavern, the Grapes, and the Cavern Pub are located.

Outside the Cavern Club at night. I like this photo even though there's a dude in it.

The stage at the Cavern Club.

The center tunnel in the Cavern Club. It was SO amazing to be down there. (I apologize for the darkness of the photos, but as you can imagine, it's dark down there.)

Posters of John and Paul inside the Cavern.

The original door to the Cavern, located diagonally from where the Cavern is presently situated.

The Grapes pub, a favorite hangout of the Beatles. This was where Alistair Taylor took Pete Best for a beer after Brian fired his ass.

Paul & the Beatles' bricks on the wall of Mathew Street. The wall lists all the bands who have played at the Cavern Club over the years.

A semi-creepy statue of the Beatles on Mathew Street. The baby is supposed to be John. Yeah.

Statues of the boys (Paul is featured in this photo) inside the Cavern Walks shopping center.

A hilarious picture of Paul that I saw in the Cavern Walks.

A banner I saw on the street for Paul's (then upcoming) show at Anfield Stadium.

The Liverpool Anglican Cathedral. Paul auditioned to be a choirboy here when he was younger, and was rejected for not being able to sing well in the opinion of the director. Ha. Recently (about a week before I was there), he premiered Ecce Cor Meum, his latest choral arrangement, at the cathedral.

Liverpool Institute, where Paul attended school. It's now the Liverpool Institute of Performing Arts (LIPA), and Paul is the lead patron. (Side note: I reaaally wanted to go here for their amazing entertainment management program when I was a sophomore, but alas, I didn't.)

The street where the Beatles were filmed running from crazy fangirls at the very beginning of "A Hard Day's Night" (ya know, the part where George falls down?).

The gate outside of Paul's house on Cavendish Ave.

Me standing outside of Paul's gate. I left a love message for him on his wall, along with the URL to this website. Paul, if you ever read this, don't be mad I defaced your wall. Haha. I wuv you.

The front of Paul's house on Cavendish. I wasn't tall enough to take this picture, so my friend Colin (taller than me) jumped up and down until he got a decent shot. I think the house is lovely; I love all the plants in the front.

Abbey Road Studios. Actually very close to where Paul lives; we walked there.

The famous Abbey Road crossing! (Notice it's a zebra crossing too, which is awesome because those mean that cars HAVE to stop for you.)

I couldn't think of anything insightful to write on the wall, so I just signed it.

One last shot of Abbey Road studios + crosswalk.

The offices of MPL Communications, Paul's company, on Soho Square. It was such a lovely building with mostly wood trimmings. I know some people have seen Paul coming out of here; I didn't. Boo.

3 Saville Row, the (former?) location of the Apple Corps offices, and where the Beatles held their famous rooftop concert. I'm not really sure what's being done with the building these days; I thought the Apple offices were still in there, but a sign on the basement door said the building had been condemned, sooo...

The Duchess Theater, where "Buddy: The Buddy Holly Story" is playing (I got to see it.. AMAZING!). Paul was a huge financier of the production and also served as a fact checker to make sure they got Buddy's life correct. (That makes me think that Paul might be as big of a Buddy/music nerd as I am.)

The Royal Albert Hall, where the Concert for George was held.
