Once upon a time in the magical land of Ohio, a young girl named Allison sat down at her computer to worship her favorite music group, the Monkees. She logged onto a website and proceded to sign the guestbook. After she proclaimed her love for Micky (note: this is before she gave up the Dolenz and moved on to bigger, better, and Texas-ier things), she perused the other entries and noticed this horrible bitch named Beth signed her guestbook entry as the "official Monkees fan from Ohio."

What the fuck, thought Allison, immediately enraged by this. After all, she was queen of the Monkees. She knew everything about them, she loved their music, and she had seen a sizable fraction of the episodes. How dare this Beth person. So, she decided to email Beth and tell her where to stick her "official Monkees fan from Ohio" title. Beth immediately emailed her back a "woah, woah, woah" email and asserted that she had no idea that other Monkees fans existed in the Buckeye State.

They exchanged emails for awhile and in the year of our Lord 2001 (May, to be exact), the Monkees came to Cleveland and played a rib burn-off in an airport parking lot (hey, for Cleveland, this is big stuff). Both Beth and Allison were so excited because they both were going and finally would get to meet. Beth's cousin and Allison's friend Erin also came and the four of them decided to be... (da da da da!) the Monkees. (For the record, Beth was Peter and Allison was Mike... see the picture.)

The dynamic duo went on to appear at numerous Abbey Road on the Rivers in Cleveland and earned the moniker "The Beatlettes." And the rest is history.
