HISTORY
----------------------------------------------------------------------
This history of flaming-pie.net is long and sordid. Or something like that. I felt that because I've had the domain for such a long time and it's the love of my life, I should at least dedicate a page to the site itself.

BASIC INFO
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Bought domain: July 3, 2001

Registered name: Onestop.net

Bought space: Surpasshosting.com

Best seen in: 1024x768 / Firefox

Name: Before this site became a Paul McCartney fansite, I chose the name because I loved the Flaming Pie album. To this day, I still feel like it's one of his greatest.

I was originally hosted at hostyard.com (they don't even deserve a link) and I must admit, for about three years, they were GREAT, but then they got shitty.. like REALLY shitty. Lots of downtime, bad support, everything. So in June of 2005 I switched over to Surpass. I've been very happy ever since and I HIGHLY reccommend them. their prices, support and community are amazing.

Graphics: I make all my own shit in Paint Shop Pro 7, which I cracked from some site because I'm cheap, hahaha. I also use brushes from various sites, so Google brushes and if you're awesome you just might find the ones I use. You can also check out the resources which lists some of the sites I use to find brushes.

LINEAGE
----------------------------------------------------------------------
1999-2000 : Al and Ash's Monkees Extravaganza!!!:) Ah, my first website. It was a Monkees fansite that was created on Angelfire. In retrospect, it was a lame idea because the girl I did it with, Ashley, had no internet connection and didn't even like the Monkees. Hahaha.. wow. I can recall the first layout being a neon green backround with pink lettering and one picture with Times New Roman font. Someday, if I get really bored, I'll try to recreate it.

2000-2001: Al and Er's Monkees Extravaganza I changed the name and got a new partner. Though I still did all the work, Erin was actually a Monkees fan so it worked out nicely. That evolution was quite fun. Once I began getting into the Beatles in 2000, we had a Beatle month where different Beatles would take over the site. It was some good stuff. (Nostalgia, anyone?)

2000-2001: Al's Beatles Trip People liked the idea of the "Beatles takeover" so much that I created my own Beatles site, which featured all the basics, including a collection of Yellow Submarine graphics I had found all over the internet. I guess you could say that the incarnation of that site is now this one.

2000-2001: The Official Al Dolenz Page Ugh, my old internet alias. Gross. Anyway, this was my first personal site ever. That was fun. Simple layouts, but it had some good stuff about me. I think it's still out there on the web (aka, Angelfire hasn't deleted my shit yet). I should find it. That would be fun. I also started several cliques at that point, including Rock 'n Roll Heaven, which may be back in the future.

2001-present : Flaming Pie Then I bought this domain and the rest is history. I'm actually quite proud of the fact that I've been able to keep the same domain for five years and counting. I'm contemplating buying a new one, but I'll never get rid of this one because I love it so. Originally, it was strictly my personal site, but that got boring after five years, so now it's a shrine to all things Paul and I must say, I like the change.
