(excerpt from a letter to Rebecca)
How this past month has unfolded, very little writing, reading, or film-watching accomplished. I can't concentrate on anything but Europe! Even old twenty-minute episodes of Ellen are becoming difficult to sit through. My days consist of fantasies (note-taking has ceased, but I must leap into one last marathon): cheering at the Globe, Neuschwanstein, strolling along the Seine & around Tiergarten. My mind, no longer in Erie, will reunite with body in Manchester in [seven] days! Now, notes on Notre Dame's service schedule, apartment of Hugo's hours of operation (free admission), the Hofburg, the Reichstag (again, free!), and daydreams (cue: Debussy) must suffice. Oh, are the hours (always, the hours) still only a mere sixty minutes?
